She has one of the most recognizable voices in the Treasure Valley. She also has one of the deepest musical backgrounds in terms of her experience at various radio stations and her own work as a musician and filmmaker. She’s invaluable to us here at the River.
Rochelle has been involved with nearly all of the special River Sessions we have hosted over the past 28 years.
Her interviews over the years include Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Melissa Etheridge, Robert Cray, Christine McVie, Natalie Merchant, Nickelcreek, Mary Lambert, Josh Ritter, Ani DiFranco, and many others.
“Roxx” has mixed and remixed artists in-studio and off-site for 94.9 The River, and 100.3 The X, including Ed Sheeran, Lumineers, Indigo Girls, Joan Baez, Doobie Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Patty Griffin, Barenaked Ladies, LP, Halestorm, Stone Temple Pilots, Vance Joy, Avett Brothers, and dozens of others. Many of these remixes can be seen and heard by clicking “Session Chatter” on this website.
As a photographer/filmmaker/blogger, Rochelle has covered many PNW festivals with backstage photos from Bumbershoot in Seattle, Sasquatch Fest at The Gorge, NAMM Show/She Rocks Awards in L.A., and our own Treefort Music Festival and Flipside Fest.
Whether interviewing the artists or mixing their performances for re-broadcast, she has been instrumental in bringing these special moments to you, our listener.
