The Placerville tour is led and narrated by newly elected Mayor, Bucky Snyder, who has a long list of friends from Placerville and who has spent countless days there exploring the history of this mining town. To hear from Bucky is worth the trip because he has insights and stories like no one else. Please plan to meet at 7:45am in the Albertson’s Shopping Center parking lot near McDonald’s Restaurant, 6574 S Federal Way for an 8am departure. All the details are in the link. The Placerville Field trip is sponsored by the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology (IMMG), 2455 Old Penitentiary Rd, Boise, 83712. $20 Plus Eventbrite fee for non-members of IMMG, Free for IMMG members and children. Everyone must pre-register. Adult Nonmembers of the museum-$20 plus Eventbrite fee, Museum members and kids are free.
