Fall Flights returns to the World Center for Birds of Prey on September 6th

Boise, Idaho (27 August 2024)—Fall Flights are back at the World Center for Birds of Prey with shows running from September 13 to October 27 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 11 am. This year, they will be holding three Thursday shows on October 3, 10, and 17 at 3 pm.

Watch summer turn to fall as avian ambassadors swoop and soar overhead in the amphitheater set in the sagebrush steppe. Each program lasts approximately 45 minutes and will feature five to seven birds. Admission to the Interpretive Center is included with Fall Flights tickets.

“Come experience an up-close encounter with some of the most charismatic animals on earth! This event has become an Idaho tradition and we’re looking forward to connecting everyone to the wonders of raptors in flight,” said Tate Mason, Director of the World Center for Birds of Prey.

Tickets are sure to sell out, so get yours now. Peregrine Fund members receive a 25% discount on Fall Flights tickets, so join or renew your membership HERE to take advantage of this special rate.

If you get tickets to the first Saturday Fall Flights on September 7, you’ll also get to attend Idaho’s only International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD) event. The Peregrine Fund was founded in 1970 to restore the then-critically endangered Peregrine Falcon, which was subsequently removed from the U.S. Endangered Species List in 1999. That success encouraged the organization to expand its focus and apply its experience and understanding to raptor conservation efforts on behalf of 140 species in 66 countries worldwide, including the Harpy Eagle, California Condor, and Aplomado Falcon.

The World Center for Birds of Prey is The Peregrine Fund’s one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor education center in Boise, Idaho where visitors can meet eagles, owls, vultures, hawks, and falcons from around the world. Admission includes nose-to-beak raptor encounters and a self-guided tour. The World Center for Birds of Prey has five live raptor exhibits outside, and another five inside the interpretive center. The indoor interpretive center contains educational displays focused on raptors, their unique adaptations, and how The Peregrine Fund works to conserve them worldwide. Meet a live raptor on the glove during your visit and chat with a raptor expert.
