Boise Goathead Fest starts with a bike parade at Cecil D Andrus Park and culminates in a festival with food, music, dancing, games, freak bikes, and delicious cold Lost Grove beer. Dress in your favorite costume and get weird with the rest of the Boise bike community. This event supports the Boise Bicycle Project and its programs to promote the personal, social, and environmental benefits of bicycling.
The Pedal-Powered Parade is the cornerstone of Boise Goathead Fest. It is an “all-ages, all-bikes, all-abilities, all-types-of-pedal-powered-people parade” that celebrates our entire bicycle community. In this parade, you aren’t the spectator. You are the star! So pump up your tires, put on your costume, and get ready to ride! The route is about 2 miles long, and we’re expecting over 6,000 riders from Boise and beyond!
LET’S RIDE, BOISE!
This year we are teaming up with the City of Boise and the Weed Warrior team to help slay goatheads. With parties, prizes and some people power; this years’ goathead collection will slay!
Boise Goathead Fest is pedal-powered and people powered. BGF Ambassadors are the folks who truly make the festival possible.
By registering as an official Ambassador as a individual, couple, family or business; you are not only investing in the future of Boise Goathead Fest— you are investing a vibrant future for the entire bicycle community. Plus you get a super special swag package that includes an exclusive BGF Ambassador sticker and so much more! All Ambassador packages can be picked up at the Festival.
Join Lost Grove Brewing and Boise Bicycle Project for the release of this year’s official Goathead Fest beer! Our Pedal Powered Pilsner is a light, refreshing brew that will be your perfect companion all summer.
