Today we were joined by Matthew Houck of the band Phosphorescent. It’s been a great string of sessions, as we had Joe P last Sunday at The Record Exchange.
With the recent passing of Kris Kristofferson, they did this beautiful cover in his honor.
Matthew played a Fender Jazzmaster, and Ricky played pedal steel. Matthew said he’d pretty much rolled out of bed and headed right over. He really enjoyed sipping on the provided Idaho Kombucha. Listeners enjoyed pizza from Smoky Mountain Pizza.

Matthew misses his family while out on tour. He says he steals lyrics from all of them, from the things they say. He said his wife is an amazing musician, and she wrote this next song.
