Created by Lost Grove Brewing, Idaho Botanical Garden, and Treasure Valley Canopy Network, Shade City Brewfest has a mission to explore the ways that the brewing community and businesses around Idaho can reduce their impact on the environment while still holding fun events and enjoying local food and drinks. This two-day Brewfest will celebrate Idaho’s beer scene while generating conversations around sustainability, environmental impact, and waste reduction.
We are keeping things full of peace, love, and grooves in honor of the first Earth Day which took place on April 22, 1970. Come to Shade City this April to try beers from dozens of local breweries and join conversations about how to reduce our impact on Idaho’s environment.

Your own cup! We know you have steel pint glasses, cups from other beer fests, camping mugs, or even an old coffee mug you can toss in your backpack. We don’t care what kind of cup you bring – just bring one!
A blank T-shirt or tote bag! We will have a screen printer on-site to add rad Shade City logos to whatever kind of cloth merchandise you want. If you don’t already own a shirt that you want to get printed on, we will have some used and vintage T’s you can buy.
A water bottle! It’s important to stay hydrated. We will have water stations around the ‘fest so bring a water bottle that you can refill.
A ‘70s outfit! We are keeping things full of peace, love, and grooves in honor of the first Earth Day which took place on April 22, 1970. Dress up in your finest ‘70s attire and get ready to get funky.
An alternative transportation plan! Ride your bike, walk, run, scooter, or ride a bus to Shade City and get a free beer token for reducing your carbon footprint.

Tickets are $10 each day for entrance into the Botanical Garden for live music, sustainability-focused vendors, local food, and fun! To sample beers, it’s $2 per token which gets you one 4 oz pour of most beers (a few specialty beers may cost extra tokens).
Early Bird Tickets are $20 which gets you admittance to the day of your choice and a stack of 10 tokens. Save money and avoid the line by buying your tickets ahead of time!
