The first time I tried bone conductor headphones, I was at an RC Willey remote. Our tech showed me the correct way to put them on, which was so different than regular headphone. The band goes around the back of your head. The headphones don’t go in your ear, they go just above them and resonate through your cheekbone!
They have great sporty styles and colors to choose from, most of them are Bluetooth and easy to pair with your device.
There are 3 reasons I wanted to try new headphones.
- Tinnitus. I use headphones for work every day, and along with the live music I’ve been exposed to, my ears ring all of the time. I’m going to see if using bone conductor earphones at work might make a difference.
- Multi-tasking. People at work come in often while I’m recording, I’ll have to remove my headphones to hear them, and then put them back on.
- My hair. It might sound silly, but constant moving of my headphones really makes my hair messed up and staticky. See #2.
I use these wired Sports Titanium headphones for work. Today I did my show, spoke with 2 coworkers, and answered 2 phone calls without having to take the headphones off. When plugged into your phone, all headphones have answering capability.
Aftershokz has an amazing 2 year warranty on most products. They have some very cool bundle packages with shirts, fanny packs, water bottles and more fun things.
In the future, they will be releasing a new product built into sunglasses!
I can’t wait for these sunglasses, they will have different lenses you can switch out and speakers are behind your ear. You can get in on these and learn more through their Indiegogo campaign!
Long story short, I’m totally sold on these headphones, and the online support at Aftershokz is phenomenal. It’s easiest to check out the online manuals to learn how to use them. Products are light, waterproof, and come with the USB cables, manual, and ear plugs.
No more yelling at people when they talk to you with headphones on. I’ll keep my favorite Skullcandy’s handy, but these are really fun and sound amazing.
Next week is Treefort, y’all.
