JOE P LIVE AT THE RECORD EXCHANGE

Joe P Record Exchange

It was so great to be back at The Record Exchange, it had been a long time since we’ve had a session there! It was so nice to see Joe P again.

Joe had slept late and caught a ride to The Record Exchange. He kept digging around for a guitar pick, and couldn’t find one. I always have one or two in my wallet, so I loaned him mine. Here is a brand new song from his latest album, “Garden State Empire,” which was recorded in Joe’s basement in New Jersey.

We were all a bit tired, and a Sunday session is rare. The sound engineer Dave, had worked a 12-14 hour show the day before. He was so tired that his hands were shaking. I’m nearing 4 weeks of trying to heal from a couple of serious dog bites, and welcomed a chance to get my mind off of them. Joe P was tired, because during their 12 hour drive to Boise from their last show yesterday, their trailer had a blowout. He said he heard people around him showering, and realized he need to get ready.

Tonight, Joe P plays a show at The Shredder, across the street.

Here’s the song that really kicked things off. Make sure to grab his latest release, and check out some great Listening Parties coming to The Record Exchange!
