Look at this new pinball machine from the Stern Pinball company, The Munsters. It’s not available to play in the Boise area yet, but I played it while at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.
How fun to see clips from the 1960s TV series and the incorporation of elements from the show. Eddie, Herman, Lily, Grandpa and Marilyn are featured in the machine and game play.
Spot the Dragon is hiding under a ramp of “stairs.” When he emerges, bop his snout with the ball to score points.
Get to the Munster Madness mode and you activate the lower, embedded playfield along with the main playfield for multiball on two levels at once. Two sets of flipper buttons on the side of the cabinet, too.
Hopefully, a local arcade company will bring this one to Boise soon. The Munsters were a favorite after-school show for Gen-Xers, and first-run series for Boomers.
